Synopsis for "Hard-Traveling Heroes: The Next Generation, Chapter 4: Final Appeal"
Aaron Rayner has set up cameras in Connor Hawke's hotel room. Originally Crackshot was sent to kill Green Arrow, but now she seems more interested to make out with him. Therefore, Rayner orders Hatchet to send an additional kill-team to the hotel. After being insecure at the beginning, Connor slowly is able to relax and enjoy the intimicy with Crackshot. But from the corner of his eye he spots the approaching kill-team just in time for Crackshot and him to react.
Aaron Rayner watches the fight on the monitor and is not pleased by the performance of his men. Green Lantern joins his father, although he has no clue about what is happening in the hotel. Meanwhile, Green Arrow and Crackshot flee from the hotel and get unexpected help from Eddie Fyers who just arrived in Desolation. Fyers has bad news about Aaron Rayner. Not only is he stealing computer chips, but he also purchased a kind of laser beam from Russia. Of course, thanks to the satellite this laser beam is now located in earth's orbit.
With Crackshot's help, Arrow and Fyers are able to infiltrate the military base and Connor waits for an opportunity to talk to Kyle about the actual plans of his father. Kyle listens to Green Arrow, but before he can take his father to task, him and the others are spotted by security guards and the fight begins. Before Green Lantern reaches his father, Aaron Rayner activates the satellite and plans to point the laser beam at Washington D.C. To save the city's citizens, Green Lantern has not alternative but to head into space again. While Green Arrow handles Hatchet, Kyle is able to destroy the satellite. As he returns, Aaron Rayner is just pulled from debris which fell on him after an explosion. It turns out that this man is not Kyle's father Aaron, but his uncle Zachary Rayner. Before he dies, Zachary confesses that he has not seen his brother in years.
Somewhere in Colorado a man receives the message that his brother is dead ...
