Synopsis for "Home is the Hunter"
Officer Kaz visits the evidence room at the Seattle Police Department, and pockets a piece of evidence. Later, he meets with the gangster named Vinnie, whose nephew is on trial for the rape and assault of a young woman. Kaz is beholden to Vinnie after taking ten thousand dollars that he found in a drug warehouse on a bust. He hands over the evidence. At the trial, Vinnie's nephew's charges against him are dropped due to the lack of evidence. The victim pulls a gun, and she is shot down by a guard. Later, as Vinnie drives his nephew away from the courthouse, a man on a motorcycle drives past and shoots them both dead.
At the Sherwood Florist, Marianne teases Dinah Lance about her date with Kaz that night. It being a year since Oliver Queen has been heard from, Marianne thinks it's a good time for Dinah to move on. When Kaz finally arrives, it is revealed that he is the motorcyclist who fired the killing shots on Vinnie and his nephew.
Kaz and Dinah have dinner at the Space Needle restaurant, when it is suddenly overtaken by a terrorist group called the American Jihad. Lieutenant Cameron is called to deal with the negotiations, and demands that they release one hostage as a sign of good faith. The terrorist leader simply throws one of the hostages out the window to his death. Inside, Dinah and Kaz bide their time until the police are ready to deal with the situation.
Cameron is joined by Colonel Thompson of Delta Force. Cameron assures Thompson that both Kaz and Dinah will wait for the authorities to be ready before making their move. Cameron confirms that these terrorists have no intention of escaping, and that they fully intend to kill everyone inside.
Meanwhile, Oliver Queen gets off his plane, and happens to catch a news report which indicates that Dinah is trapped inside the Space Needle with the terrorists. He checks to see what the next flight to Seattle is, and despite the fact that it is booked, he simply takes a passenger's ticket and hands him a wad of cash before boarding.
Not long later, Oliver arrives on the scene, covertly listening to Cameron and Thompson's assessment of the situation before putting his own plan into action. He breaks into the Museum of Flight, and steals a jetpack.
Inside the Space Needle, Kaz tells Dinah that she has to wrest away the detonator from the group's leader, and he will use his gun to shoot down as many as he can.
As Oliver enacts his plan, he calls Cameron on a secure line to inform him of his plan to kill the terrorist holding the detonator. He asks Cameron to have a helicopter do a flyby as a distraction. Oliver kills one of the guards, and gains entry, but the helicopter aggravates the terrorists, and their plan is pushed forward. Moments before the leader of the terrorists pushes the detonator, an arrow pierces through his skull.
The Delta Force team bursts through the door, Dinah grabs the detonator, Kaz and the Delta Force team shoot down several of the terrorists, and eventually Kaz and Oliver come to a standoff. Dinah intervenes, and they lower their weapons. Oliver declares that he is home, finally, and he and Dinah kiss, as Kaz grimaces.
