All I was trying to say, before you all became jackasses, was that it fills my heart with joy to be back among you. Happy. And safe.

Synopsis for "Dead Again (Part III) - Hit & Run, Run, Run!"

Black Canary agrees to enter a contest of Fortitude to prove that she is strong enough to lead Athena's Furies. Dinah has little interest in such an event, but she needs to buy Connor enough time to find Ollie. She agrees to face Athena's toughest warriors in combat. Mia meanwhile, waits impatiently by Athena's throne.

On the other side of the island, Connor and Ollie are surrounded by Amazon warriors. They fight through a horde of them, and make a break for the cliff's edge. They dive off the cliff into the sea where a boat is waiting for them. Once on board, Connor fires a flare that signals Dinah and Mia that he has found Ollie. Dinah jumps from the arena taking Athena prisoner. Athena tells her guards that she is not in any danger and allows Dinah to take her to her chambers. There, she answers Dinah's questions about her plan. It is revealed that she knew that Dinah would never agree to join her while Green Arrow lived. When Dinah asks why Athena did not just kill him, she responds that the villains with whom she conspired wanted Green Arrow alive. Everyman was meant to pose as Green Arrow for a short time, then fake his death and make it appear that Green Arrow died right before Dinah's eyes. Thus, in her grief over Green Arrow's death, Athena believed that Dinah would accept her offer. However, when Hannibal was to consummate the marriage with Dinah on their wedding night, he suffered from an inability to perform despite a large amount of medication meant to aid in the process. Fearing that this would cause Dinah to realize he was an imposter, he tried to kill her, to avoid his cover being blown. Athena attempts once more to convince her to join the Amazons, but when she turns around, Dinah is already gone. After Dinah is gone, Athena reveals that she is actually Granny Goodness in disguise. DeSaad steps out of the shadows and the two watch as the heroes race away.

Dinah and Mia reunite with Ollie and Connor on the boat and take off from the island. Dinah and Ollie are overjoyed to see on another again. Ollie changes out of his torn rags into a brand new costume. Without warning, a shot rings out and a bullet strikes Connor through the chest.
