Synopsis for "Fathers & Sons"

Following Jade's disappearance, Kyle calls her father, Alan Scott, who arrives very shaken up at his apartment. Alan's prime suspect is Brainwave Junior, a former teammate of Jade's at Infinity Inc., who went insane after inheriting all of his father's mental powers. They visit Brainwave at an asylum. On their way, Alan tells Kyle his story, how he gained his powers, teamed up with the Justice Society, fathered two kids (Jade and Obsidian), and how the Starheart rejuvenated him.

At the asylum, Doctor Quinn takes Alan and Kyle to see Brainwave Junior, who seems catatonic. However, he reacts when Alan mentions Jenny's name, and Brainwave sends Alan and Kyle on a mind trip. Suddenly, some shadows stick Brainwave to the wall, and the heroes return to the real world. They recognize the shadows come from Obsidian, Jade's brother, who's come to the asylum to kill Brainwave.
