Green Lantern/Sentinel: Heart of Darkness (Volume 1) with a cover date of April, 1998.
Synopsis for "Like Father, Like Son"
Alan Scott and Kyle Rayner deal with Obsidian, who crashes into Hastings House to kill Brainwave Junior for his apparent involvement in Jade's disappearance. They convince Obsidian to let Brainwave go, but Todd snaps again and attacks Kyle, acting as if he's possessed or under someone's orders. Alan tries to calm his son down again, but Obsidian rejects Alan as his father, claiming to be open to his "true nature" and that soon his sister will be too. Scott ends the fight by engulfing Green Lantern and Sentinel in shadows.
Obsidian takes the heroes to a magical realm, where the personification of the Starheart not only claims responsibility for Jade's disappearance but also reveals he is Jade and Todd's father. Alan merely provided the "biological material," while the Starheart made them what they are and gave them their powers. Realizing they can't defeat the Starheart in its own realm, Alan strikes a deal with the Starheart: give back his youth to save Jade and Todd. The Starheart agrees to give him Jade, since Todd joined the Starheart's side, and turns Alan into an old man. However, as soon as he loses his youth, Alan suffers a cardiac arrest and falls to the ground.
