Synopsis for "Into the Light"
Kyle teaches Jen how to recharge her new Green Lantern Ring. Suddenly, Kyle's lightbulb bursts and Doctor Light emerges in an explosion of energy. Jade attempts to fight Doctor Light, but the villain can redirect Jade's attacks against her. Hell-bent on getting revenge on Green Lantern, Doctor Light takes Kyle inside the Power Battery, just like he was trapped inside it long ago.
Jade follows them and arrives at a recreation of the planet Oa, full of Green Lanterns and the buildings it had before its destruction. Suddenly, Kilowog catches Jade by surprise and takes her to the citadel.
Elsewhere, Dr. Light and Kyle continue their fight, but Kyle buries the villain under a pile of rubble and flies away. Kyle finds Jade at the citadel and tries to explain the situation to the Green Lanterns, but Doctor Light breaks into the building and starts slaughtering the Green Lanterns, turning them into energy he can absorb. Kyle then realizes what all this is about: this version of Oa must be a re-creation made by Hal Jordan when he went inside the battery before he died. Kyle explains the situation to Kilowog and convinces him that the Green Lanterns are just energy constructs and that they are not real. Together, they must stop Light from absorbing all the battery's energy before he can destroy the final remains of the Green Lantern Corps. The Corps sacrifices themselves and turn into energy for Kyle and Jade's rings. They pour that power into the Central Battery, causing it to explode and knock Doctor Light unconscious. Kyle and Jade jump into the battery and try to escape to their world, leaving Light trapped inside the batery again.
Back in Kyle's apartment, Light attempts to escape once more, but the battery absorbs him again immediately. With the bad guy defeated, Kyle and Jade now can relax and turn the lights out.
