Green Lantern Corps #210 is an issue of the series Green Lantern Corps (Volume 1) with a cover date of March, 1987.

Synopsis for "See Red!"

With tension brewing between the Soviet Union and America, Kilowog and Guy Gardner fight in Russian air space. Shortly, the Rocket Red Brigade comes to help Kilowog, but he commands them to stay out of it. Guy takes advantage of his distraction and traps them underground. The Rocket Reds tell Gardner that if he hurts them, the two other Lanterns will die. Kilowog realizes that they are talking about John and Katma, and he forces the Brigade to confess where they locked them.

Meanwhile, at the Green Lantern Citadel, Hal Jordan gets a phone call from the president explaining the situation in Russia, and they immediately head there. A Soviet ship near California's coast detects four unidentified flying objects heading to Russia, and they mistake the Green Lanterns with missiles. Gorbachev commands all stations to stand ready to retaliate.

Guy breaks into the Kranatov Institue and rescues John and Katma seconds before the scientists apply a lethal injection while Kilowog confronts Gorbachev at the Kremlin. The General Secretary assumes Kilowog was a spy all along and that this is an American attack, so he orders to launch all missiles. Hal Jordan and his group intercept the rockets in time to Western surveillance to detect the attack, thus avoiding World War III. Kilowog grabs and threatens Gorbachev, who commands Rocket Red #1 to defend him. Josef doesn't want to fight his friend, but Gorbachev forces him to obey. The two friends clash, the Green Lantern resisting Rocket Red's blasts. The fight reaches a standstill, and Kilowog makes one last attempt to talk some sense into his friend, asking Josef to escape Russia with him. But Josef is a patriot that will never desert his motherland. Kilowog deals one last blow that smacks Josef to the ground, killing him. The Green Lanterns averted World War, but Kilowog kneels with grief over his friend's dead body, witnessing first-hand the terrible consequences of war.
