Synopsis for "Fun Couples!"

In Detroit, John Stewart and Katma Tui carry out their wedding. To avoid publicity, they do it simultaneously with the Superbowl's halftime celebrations, and they fly off Earth to begin their honeymoon right away. The Green Lantern Corps split, Ch'p and Salakk to Africa, Kilowog to Nicaragua, Hal and Arisia to Hawaii, and John and Katma to Replikon's planet.

Meanwhile, on Zamaron, Star Sapphire and Hector Hammond are ready to carry out their revenge, and they use Arisia to get to Hal Jordan. Star Sapphire attacks Arisia in the middle of the night, and Hector Hammond takes control of her mind. The following morning, they use Arisia's ring to attack Hal, and she blames it on the puberty process of her species, claiming that there's a mineral in Graxos IV that will help her. Thus both Green Lanterns take Arisia's Power Battery and set off to their destination.

On their way, Arisia, still controlled by Hammond, takes a detour, confusing Hal. Suddenly, his ring's energy runs out, and the Power Battery he was holding fades away like a construct. His reserve power runs out shortly, and he is seemingly killed in an explosion, with Hammond and Star Sapphire as his witnesses.
