Green Lantern Corps #213 is an issue of the series Green Lantern Corps (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 1987.
Synopsis for "For Want Of A Male...!"
After killing Hal Jordan, Star Sapphire and Hector Hammond take his ring and bring Arisia back to their ship. Sapphire humiliates Arisia by forcing her to be her slave, cleaning her quarters, and kissing her boots. Hector Hammond starts to rethink his place in this alliance, and he wants to assert himself as his superior, even though he can't control her mind. The only reason Sapphire needs him is to use his powers against others, like Arisia.
Suddenly, Hal Jordan comes crashing in. He noticed something was wrong with Arisia, so he planned ahead and faked his death. Still, Sapphire immobilizes him with her Zamaron Organ, and Hammond takes control of his mind. Wanting to prove his superiority, Hector takes Hal as his slave and threatens Sapphire by saying he'll take both Green Lanterns, but Sapphire frees Arisia and convinces her to attack Hammond. With their powers combined, they defeat Hector, and Sapphire attempts to turn Arisia into her slave again. But Arisia plugs her ears, resisting the Zamaron Organ's soundwaves, and she beats Sapphire, freeing Hal from her control.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Kilowog hasn't given up on socialism, and he tries to find it in Nicaragua, where he gets in the middle of two warring sides. In Africa, Doctor Ub'x continues his experiments to evolve the minds of the animals. Suddenly, Salakk vanishes, and Ch'p finds out that he teleported to the 58th Century.
