Synopsis for "Inside Summer Skies"

Following the signal of nearby Power Rings, the squad of John, Arisia, Katma, and Kilowog cross with the Green Lantern Corps of Klyminade, conformed by Olapet, Flodo Span, and Driq, who is half-dead, kept barely alive by the power of his ring. Flodo explains that they are the only ones who survived from the eight members of their group and that Sinestro is the one responsible for their deaths (and Driq's state), who escaped from imprisonment on Oa with the help of the MadGod of Sector 3600. Thus, the seven Green Lanterns join forces to face Sinestro together.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Hal Jordan and Tom Kalmaku check on Carl Ferris' condition after his attack at Ferris Aircraft. The doctor says that the stress of losing the entire company to Mr. Smith and the sudden disappearance and apparent "death" of Carol Ferris drew Carl to a mental breakdown. Hal tries to communicate with him, but he keeps rambling about "them" without explaining who they are. When Hal and Tom go outside, they meet Mr. Smith, and the doctor runs behind them, desperately informing them that Carl's condition got worse and he died from a sudden heart attack.

In space, the Green Lanterns continue looking for Sinestro. Now inside the territory controlled by the MadGod, they find Sinestro at a moon base attacking a nearby planet. The Green Lanterns attack and Sinestro blasts Driq, obliterating him. But that injury doesn't mean anything to someone already dead. Sinestro resists the rest of their attacks knocks them all down, ready to deal the killing blow. Suddenly, Driq reappears and destroys Sinestro's base, apparently killing the villain. While the Lanterns wonder if Sinestro is alive, the MadGod turns his attention toward them and sucks them all into a black hole.
