Green Lantern Corps #219 is an issue of the series Green Lantern Corps (Volume 1) with a cover date of December, 1987.

Synopsis for "Inside Somatic Psyches"

After destroying Bolovax Vik II, Sinestro, who survived the previous explosion, and the MadGod of Sector 3600 attack the Green Lanterns with a meteor storm. The Lanterns try to escape, but the asteroids, and even the sun, outrun them quickly. Emotionally shocked by his world's second destruction, Kilowog enters a panicked state, hitting everyone around him. His condition causes the protective force field to open and kill Olapet. However, John takes a seed from the plant-like being, plants it on her bag, and carries it. Flodo Span, a being with no physical form, suggests expanding his side and contain the sentient Sector as the Guardians did long ago.

Arisia decides to enter Kilowog's mind to calm him down. There, she sees his memories in Bolovax Vik, which soothes him. Encountering Arisia in one of his memories, Kilowog admits that he loves her and doesn't want to be alone again. Arisia replies that she can't love him because she loves Hal, but calms him saying the she and the rest of the Corps will always be there for him, as his new family. Both of them return to their bodies.

In the meantime, the new Olapet was born from the seed. The zombie-like Driq flies out of the bubble and helps Flodo contain the MadGod. Flodo contracts to a smaller size, keeping the sentient Sector locked in a sphere again. The Green Lanterns focus their powers toward Sinestro, and they capture him again, Katma dealing the knock-out blow. Katma invites their new comrades to join them on Earth, and they accept, except for Olapet, who decides to stay behind.
