Alan, old chum... I admire your scruples -- really! But unless you dump them, you will never, ever, earn your universe-saving merit badge!
Green Lantern (Volume 2) #111 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 2) with a cover date of December, 1978.
Synopsis for "Dark Things Cannot Stand the Light"
Green Lantern and Green Arrow stop a couple of crooks from stealing a fortune-teller. Accidentally, Hal turns one of the thieves into a stone statue, and he can't seem to change him back. They decide to visit the Guardians for help, who inform Green Lantern about a greater menace threatening the universe. The Guardian explains that a being has stolen the Starheart, an element that gathered mystic energy and was locked in the sun. Green Lantern determines that this might be what caused the ray that turned the crook to stone. He also figures that, since his ring would be useless against the mystic energies, they need help from another magical user. In this case, the Green Lantern of Earth-Two.
After bringing Alan Scott to Oa and explaining the situation, the two Green Lanterns charge their rings simultaneously and take off to encounter the threat in the farthest boundary of the galaxy.
