Green Lantern (Volume 2) #113 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 2) with a cover date of February, 1979. It was published on November 30, 1978.
Synopsis for "That They May Fear No More!"
On Christmas Eve, Green Lantern saves a group of musicians called the Slog from a car crash under a snow blizzard. At a distance, on the mountainside above, Granny Bleach and her crew stalk the group, specifically the pregnant woman, Marcy.
After putting out the fire, Green Lantern returns to his Hal Jordan clothes and takes them on his truck to a lodge, where Dinah and Oliver prepare Christmas dinner. However, Hal gets caught by surprise by one of Granny's men, and they knock him out and take his ring. Then, the crew attacks the lodge and kidnaps Marcy, claiming they need her newborn baby to get rid of a hundred-year curse.
After the attackers are gone and the heroes recover, Hal, Oliver, and Dinah, accompanied by Marcy's husband, take off to the mountain with some skis. On the road, they find out that the hundred-year curse is a volcano that has been inactive until that night, and fire starts to rain over them. When they get to Granny's cabin, Green Arrow saves them from a pack of wolves, and Hal demands them to return his ring. With it, Green Lantern takes off and makes the lava pour out to a valley, stopping the pressure of the fiery rain. With the disaster averted, Green Lantern returns to the cabin, where Marcy's baby was born, and Granny Bleaches claims the legend was real since the newborn brought the emerald hero to save them from the curse.
