Synopsis for "The Steel Vengeance"
Hal, Ollie, Dinah and Kari are in Florida surveying Hal Jordan's truck which has been destroyed in a hurricane. In an attempt to track down the escaped El Espectro, Kari touches his helmet and gets a mysterious, unexplained vision of a familiar voice calling her name her from a place of eternal cold and faints due to the strain. El Espectro has forced his way onto a Ferris airplane and knocks out the pilot. Carol Ferris, who speaks Spanish, is forced to fly the plane. Hal and Ollie set off to track him down some other way and encounter some looters which they defeat. The victimized store owner has seen El Espectro heading for the airport. The heroes find the airplane in flight and board it. El Espectro knocks the heroes down, removes Green Lantern's ring, then tosses his body out the plane. Green Arrow grabs the ring and dives out after him. Fastening the ring to a bolo arrow, Green Arrow fires it towards Green Lantern. The bolo wraps around Green Lantern's arm and he dons the ring saving them both. The airplane, meanwhile, flies into a secret navy military exercise and is shot down. The plane crashes and Carol and El Espectro are taken by helicopter to the USS Rutherford. El Espectro starts a fire alerting Green Lantern and Green Arrow who fly to the ship and douse the flames. The heroes and El Espectro fight. The heroes are injured but win. Carol Ferris offers Hal Jordan his old job back and, later, Kari Limbo proposes to him. Hal accepts both offers.
