- A sane Sinestro was a threat! A mad one could be a disaster!
Green Lantern (Volume 2) #125 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 2) with a cover date of February, 1980.
Synopsis for "Death Quest To Qward"
After Hal Jordan returns to his job as a test pilot, Sinestro arrives on Earth through the Qward gate, activating Hal's ring alarm. Green Lantern heads there immediately and fights Sinestro, taking his Yellow Lantern Ring off. Powerless, Sinestro escapes again through the gate, taunting Hal to follow.
Before entering, Hal recharges his ring, and a kid enters the gate while Green Lantern is distracted. When he arrives on Qward, Hal finds the weather turned into a snow blizzard, and he sees a fleet of warships and soldiers marching. Hal follows the trail to the Weaponers' fortress, where he overhears Sinestro and a Quardian testing a new ring and talking about an invasion. However, Hal loses the element of surprise when the kid from Earth finds him and screams, alerting Sinestro. Green Lantern takes the kid and tries to escape the fortress, while Sinestro attacks them with his new ring. But Sinestro's new weapon can't aim correctly, so every attack misses its target. Hal uses a Thunderer's Qwa-Bolts to knock Sinestro, gaining a chance to escape.
Back on Earth, Hal is horrified to find out that the Qwardian fleet invaded Earth, scorching the land with their weather device.
