Synopsis for "Prologue"

On Earth once again after the end of the Qward-Oa war, a battered Hal Jordan tells Tom, Carol and "Fabian" about a recent adventure where he learned that his power ring itself did not actually talk. Afterwards, Hal explains that when the ring does say something, it is actually his own subconscious speaking through the ring. The ring warns him about General Fabrikant's presence, but the exhausted Hal dismisses it, ignoring that the little boy Fabian is the Quardian in disguise, preparing his revenge for the defeat of the Weaponers of Qward.

Synopsis for "The Green That Got Away!"

Green Lantern narrates a story which occurred nearly six months before when Hal was still a trucker. After his ring suddenly runs out of power, Green Lantern must capture two antique car thieves by bluffing them. After the ring's power returns, it is unable to tell him who has been stealing its power, but silently leads him to Hector Hammond in prison. Hammond again mentally steals the power ring's energy and goes off into space to search for the meteor that gave him his immortality, leaving Green Lantern trapped. After escaping, Green Lantern tracks down Hammond in space and they battle, both using power ring energy. Hammond is defeated when his stolen power dissipates after 24 hours have passed.
