Green Lantern (Volume 2) #139 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 2) with a cover date of April, 1981.

Synopsis for "Slay On, Silvery Moon!"

In Ferris Aircraft, Tom Kalmaku witnesses Carol Ferris showing up with her handcuffed to a briefcase. Tom tries to ask how did she got here after being abducted, but Carol hits him with the case and keeps running, following the instructions of her abductor: planting bombs on Ferris Aircraft.

In space, Green Lantern fights his negative doppelganger while Eclipso escapes to his Murder Moon satellite. To defeat the evil Lantern, Hal uses his own weakness against him. The Negative Green Lantern's powers are red, so Hal uses a purple cloth (the opposite of yellow) to contain and destroy him.

To divert Green Lantern's attention again, Eclipso blasts a major fault line on Earth, causing earthquakes in Los Angeles. Green Lantern saves the people from the disaster and then heads right back to Eclipso's Murder Moon. Since the satellite is powered by solar energy, Green Lantern creates a solar receptor that cuts it off and returns the energy it absorbed to the sun. Inside, Hal fights Eclipso's negative men and confronts him while strapped to a machine built to erase Bruce Gordon's persona. However, Green Lantern fires at the machine, and it causes both Gordon and Eclipso to separate. Hal saves Gordon, but Eclipso gets thrown into the void of space, ending his threat to Earth.
