Synopsis for "Golden Dawn... Golden Death!"

Carol Ferris moves to a mansion bought by her father at the coast of Los Angeles and invites Hal Jordan to move with her. They discuss the future of their relationship, whether they are ready for a commitment or not. Hal reassures Carol that he'll be for her as she takes her time to think on the subject.

Later, Hal visits Ferris Aircraft's new vice-president, Richard Davis, and he notices strange behavior in Rich, getting a sudden ache while they speak. Carl Ferris then decides to give up Bruce Gordon's Solar Jet research to save Ferris Aircraft's contract with the government.

Further on that day, Green Lantern resumes the investigation of the Tatooed Man's death, and he follows the trail of his hired killer. The lead takes him to an illicit corporation managed by his old foe, Goldface. Green Lantern arrives at a meeting with all criminal leaders of the west coast, and he confronts Gold Face, who summoned the gathering to show off how he beats Green Lantern. The golden foe, now with a genetically enlarged body and strengthened muscles, prevails against the emerald hero, asserting his superiority.
