Synopsis for "Resolutions!"
Hal Jordan has 24 hours to wind up his affairs on Earth before his year-long exile in space begins. First, he contacts The Flash and explains his situation, so he can then redirect it to his fellow Leaguers. Hal then returns to Carol house, only to find it completely ransacked by Gold Face and his minions. During the fight, Gold Face reveals that he knows Green Lantern's true name and that he's been working alongside Bloch to take revenge against him and Ferris. He also mentions Carol and Carl Ferris being in danger and about to be dealt with. But Hal, wastes no more time and encases Gold Face with the supporting beams of the house and leaves, saying their fight will continue after his exile.
Meanwhile, Carol, Rich, and Bruce Gordon are discovered at Bloch Manor and put under custody by Benjamin Bloch. Just when Bloch's men are about to execute them, Green Lantern arrives to save his friends. Then, he flies off to find Carl Ferris, while Rich calls the authorities.
After hours walking through the desert, the exhausted Carl Ferris falls to the ground and Ted Bishop takes his briefcase, containing evidence against Bloch. Bishop sets the case on fire, but again Green Lantern gets there in time to extinguish the fire and force Bishop to confess.
Unfortunately, the evidence that was saved from the fire is not enough to link Bloch with the sabotages, and Ferris Aircraft is still broke without the governments contract. Green Lantern spends his last minutes on Earth with Carol. When the time comes, he leaves, reassuring his love to Carol.

Synopsis for "E'sprit De Corps!"
Three Guardians contact Green Lantern Quarzz Teranh personally to give him the mission of protecting his Space Sector from black hole, knowing that, regardless of his failure or success, this task might take his life. Humbly, Quarzz accepts his fate and does everything in his power to stop the black hole. He succeeds, but, as expected, the strain of power leaves him weak and on the brink of death, protected only by his ring's protective aura. Two other Green Lanterns find him and attempt to get him to the Guardians so they can heal him. But Quarzz tells them to leave him to die among the stars. Mournful, the Green Lanterns grant their fallen comrade his dying wish.
