Synopsis for "There's No Grave Like Home"
In space, Green Lantern finds himself attacked by his asteroid home and he's forced to blow up the whole rock. After the explosion, Hal notices a glowing rock that looks familiar, which hits him with a bolt of energy, leaving him unconscious in space. The chunk of rock then travels to Earth, drawn by Green Lantern's foe, Hector Hammond. This rock can restore Hector's mobility, and he used his mind to search for it among the stars, until he found it inside Hal's asteroid, and forced Green Lantern to destroy his base and free the rock. Now on his cell, the rock restores Hammond's mobility, and he breaks out of prison and goes to space. Green Lantern, recovered from the previous blast, intercepts him. The two fight, until Hammond notices he's losing his powers and his head is shrinking, which is caused by the meteor that not only restored his mobility, but slowly turns him back to a normal 20th man. Refusing to lose his mental superiority, Hammond gives up to his mobility and returns to his jail on Earth.
Green Lantern, unable to return to Earth personally, makes an energy duplicate of himself and checks in Hammond's prison cell. Then, he visits Carol Ferris to remind her that he loves and misses her, and that his exile will be over sooner than they expect. Before leaving, he gives Carol a bouquet of flowers.

Instead, he built his own house in s little planetoid, which only makes him miss Earth even more. Even when he saves the inhabitants of Axelbob III from extinction, he forgets that the Axelbobians don't like having contact with aliens, so they run away from him when he tries to be friendly. And so on he keeps saving different planets, each one having weirder and weirder inhabitants. Suddenly, the Guardians of the Universe order him to assist the planet Ftl'yl XI, which is threatened with extinction by massive internal pressures.
