- Unfortunately for you, sister -- I've made it my business! As of now, Ferris Aircraft is under my personal protection! So I suggest you and your companions leave this complex -- while you're still able to walk!
Green Lantern (Volume 2) #179 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 2) with a cover date of August, 1984.
Synopsis for "Let Us Prey!"
While Green Lantern is nowhere to be seen, the Predator fights the Demolition Team. He provokes them, causing them to enrage and spread, turning themselves into easy targets. One by one, he confronts and defeats them, disabling or using their weapons against them. At the same time, Clay Kendall attempts to use his Psi-Chair to somehow access the full potential of his mind and fight the invaders. However, while he was plugged to the chair, Predator and Hardhat come crashing through the walls, breaking the generators and causing the Chair to go haywire, electrocuting Dr. Kendall and blowing him away, dropping unconscious on the floor. Finally, the Predator defeats them all, until only Rosie remains. After destroying her gun and disorienting her, Carol throws a punch at her face, knocking her out. Carol asks the Predator how can they thank him for saving Ferris Aircraft, and he replies that it was his pleasure, kisses her, and then abandons the scene, leaving Carol confused.
At Omnicron Ceti IV, sent by the Guardians of the Universe, Green Lantern struggles to save the planet from an imminent destruction. After spending some time thinking about how to stabilize the core, Hal gets the idea of using the Stellarium found inside various meteoroids to create damping rods to absorb the radiation from the planet's core and calm it. With Omnicron Ceti IV safe, the Guardians congratulate Green Lantern for his great job, but Hal tells them to keep their compliments to themselves, saying that if his home and friends were destroyed in his absence, he'll make the Guardians regret it. When Hal returns to Earth, he's shocked to find Ferris Aircraft in ruins.
