Synopsis for "Those Who Worship Evil's Might!"

Hal gets an upgraded ring from the Guardians before heading back to Earth to check on Ollie. The pair soon encounter a spacecraft buried in the sand, and help an alien being pursued by a group of armed aliens. Hal takes the alien off planet, while Ollie stays behind. The pair soon learn that they've helped the wrong side, as the troubled alien takes Hal's power battery and leaves Hal tied with yellow rope in a yellow cave with barely enough ring power to keep breathing for another 40 minutes. Hal escapes from his prison using a beacon that he had established before entering the yellow cave. He makes it back to earth with barely enough energy left in his ring. He carefully re-energizes his ring while the alien villain holds Ollie hostage and readily defeats him in the end.

Trivia

  • A Green Lantern Corps member resembling Spock can be seen at 2nd page of this story; he even makes the Vulcan salute. However, since he does not inform his planet, it is unknown if Vulcans inhabit the DC Universe.
