Synopsis for "Those Who Worship Evil's Might!"

Hal Jordan gets an upgraded power ring from the Guardians before heading back to Earth to check on Ollie. The pair soon encounter a spacecraft buried in the sand, and from inside the ship comes a red-skinned alien chased by other aliens, called the Hallas, shooting at him with guns. The red-skinned alien, whose name is later revealed as Jinn, cries for their help and asks Hal to take him off planet. Ollie stays behind and incapacitate the Hallas.

Green Lantern takes Jinn to Callisto, Jupiter's moon. Jinn and Green Lantern enter a cave made of gold, but before entering, Hal saves Jinn from a "falling rock". After hours walking inside the cave, Hal recharges his ring, but the mischievous Jinn hits him with a rock, interrupting his oath, and steals his Power Battery. Jinn ties him with a golden rope and returns to Earth, leaving Hal with minutes of energy left in his Power Ring.

On Earth, the Hallas explain to Ollie that him and Green Lantern helped the wrong side. The Hallas are a galactic space force, predecessors of the Green Lantern Corps, that were pursuing the criminal Jinn but ended up stranded on Earth centuries ago, until a nuclear blast unearthed their ship and revived them. While Green Arrow unties the aliens, Jinn appears again and blasts him with his gun. After recharging his weapon, he throws the Power Battery away and keeps blasting the downed Green Arrow.

Back on Calisto, Green Lantern manages to escape following a beacon he planted outside before entering the cave, and returns to Earth instants before his Power Ring's energy depletes. He lands behind the distracted Jinn, and he recharges his ring quietly. With his hands still tied, Hal manages to defeat the criminal Jinn. Hal helps the Hallas unbury their ship so they can return to Oa, taking the captured Jinn with them.
