Synopsis for "War Against The World-Builders!"

While having Thanksgiving dinner with his friends, Hal Jordan receives a telepathic message from the Guardians, warning him about an invasion on Earth. Hal promptly changes to his Green Lantern uniform and heads to the scene. The donut-shaped spaceship abducts the impoverished people on the street, but the aliens prevent Green Lantern's interference by shooting him with a yellow beam. Green Lantern tracks its trajectory to Hong Kong, and he heads there before them. Hal disguises himself as a transient and transforms his ring into a pair of glasses, rendering it undetectable for the ship. As he expected, the aliens arrive in Hong Kong and kidnap him, along with a bunch of other people.

The aliens take them to a barren world, and they give the abducted people the task of rebuilding and colonizing the planet, with the promise of giving them freedom if the colony succeeds. Some individuals accept the assignment, but Hal Jordan is not very happy about it, so he reveals himself as Green Lantern and attacks the aliens. Green Lantern enters the ship and advances through the alien forces and their traps to their leader. The boss explains that their race has the purpose of repopulating desolate worlds. But he doesn't listen to Green Lantern's complaints about how they deprive the people of their freedom, but their discussion turns into a fistfight, and Hal defeats the leader.

With the leader defeated, Green Lantern convinces the aliens to let the abducted people return to their homes. However, some of the impoverished Earthmen and women decide to stay and give themselves a new purpose. As a demonstration of gratitude, some of the inhabitants prepare a Thanksgiving banquet and invite Green Lantern to join.

Meanwhile, on Earth, some FBI agents interrupt Green Arrow's thanksgiving dinner and arrest him.
