Synopsis for "Emerald Knights, Chapter One: Coming to Terms"

Kyle Rayner finally returns from the past, but a young Hal Jordan has been drawn to the present with him. While Hal is very excited, Kyle needs to find a decent way to tell his predecessor everything that happened, or rather will happen. Before Kyle is able to explain everything, Hal takes off to Coast City and, of course, is shocked to find nothing but vacant land and a statue of himself at what has become the memorial site of Hal Jordan. Now Hal listens what Kyle has to say about his future: the destruction of Coast City, Hal Jordan killing the other members of the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of the Universe as well as Hal's final demise.

Hal Jordan freaks out about these news. He destroys his statue and then just flies away. Kyle does not follow him because he feels that Hal has to come to terms on his own. And that works out well, because after Hal saves a group of crippled children from getting run over by a train, he gets his emotions in check again and returns to Kyle. They decide to visit the JLA and try to find a way to send Hal back into his time.

Meanwhile, DeSaad suggests Kalibak that now is a good time to attack Hal Jordan and prove his worth as Darkseid's son...
