Synopsis for "Emerald Knights, Part 2: Old Friends"

Guy Gardner, Alan Scott and John Stewart anxiously await the arrival of Kyle Rayner to start their regular poker game. But they are shocked as they see that Kyle is accompanied by a young Hal Jordan. Then Kyle quickly explains how Hal time-travelled into this era and the other former Green Lanterns introduce themselves to Hal. But Hal feels a little uncomfortable in the Warriors bar and decides to visit some old friends.

Carol Ferris and Thomas "Pieface" Kalmaku just finished monitoring a test flight of a new jet as Hal approaches them. To Hal's surprise Carol greets him with a passionate kiss and then confirms that he really is Hal Jordan. The conversation is abruptly stopped by the attack of Kalibak, the son of Darkseid, who intends to kill Green Lantern once and for all. But Hal Jordan perseveres and after a short fight Kalibak goes up in flames due to an explosion of jet fuel. Although Kalibak survives he stops further attacks and even compliments Hal on the victory. But Kalibak also threatens Hal that he will return to kill him. Looking at his old friends Carol and Pieface, Hal suddenly can envision to stay in this era …
