Synopsis for "Spectre of the Past"
Kyle Rayner has to protect himself from a furious Jade after confessing that he kissed Donna Troy. Kyle just wants to talk about it, but because he cannot guarantee that there are no feelings left for Donna Jade just leaves.
Later, Kyle talks about his girl issues with his landlord Radu Stancu when suddenly Hal Jordan enters the coffee shop. Hal wants to show Kyle that he is no longer the same person now that the Spectre entity is part of himself. Hal transports Kyle and himself to Ferris Aircraft where they walk around normally because nobody is able to actually see them. After overhearing that the company is in financial trouble Hal makes himself visible to Carol Ferris. To her surprise Hal pulls the Star Sapphire Gem out of her because she thought it was long gone. Hal explains that Carol has to stop blaming herself for everything she did under the influence of the Star Sapphire. Then he hands back the gem and Carol is able to make it disappear by simply believing in it. As Hal and Kyle leave Carol has already forgotten that Hal had been there. Then Hal says goodbye to Kyle and indicates that they will not see each other anytime soon.
