Synopsis for "Hate Crime, Part 1"
In a hospital, Terry Berg's boyfriend David tells Kyle Rayner and Jade how Terry and him left a club and then got chased by three guys who obviously had a problem with the pair being a gay couple. David and Terry made the mistake to flee separately and, thus, only Terry got caught and nearly beaten to death.
Kyle is already in a foul mood but when a police detective asks him some questions indicating that Terry and David might have been partially responsible for what happened as well, Kyle gets really furious. As he learns that one of the attackers named Daniel Hirsh has been taken into custody, Green Lantern decides to pay him a nightly visit in his cell. Without remorse Green Lantern tortures Daniel until he tells him where to find his two accomplices.
It does not take long for Green Lantern to find the other two attackers. I a dark alley he gives them a free shot at him, but then Kyle lets lose and beats both of them up pretty badly.
A little later, Kyle sits in front of Terry's hospital bed and just begs that his friend has to wake up again ...
