Green Lantern (Volume 3) #47 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 3) with a cover date of November, 1993.
Synopsis for "This is Now"
Hal Jordan learns that Green Arrow and Pieface are in trouble and that the Crosswind Corporation is involved. Upon reaching Crosswind Corners in Nevada, Hal discovers the mind behind all of this is none other than Carl Ferris, Carol's long-believed-dead father. Carl faked his death long ago and started raising a fortune in secret to rebuild Ferris Aircraft. As Green Lantern confronts the man who sent Deathstroke to attack him, Carl opens his mouth and shoots a beam of yellow energy at Hal. Hal manages to incapacitate "Carl," revealing a robot posing as Carl. Green Lantern then loses Carol from his sight, and he starts looking for her through the hallways when he suddenly stumbles with Green Arrow.
In the middle of the battle, Flicker takes Carol to a separate room, where she finds Pieface, Olivia, and two other copies of Carl Ferris. The green heroes suddenly break into the room and fight Flicker. Oliver shoots an arrow at Flicker, but the alien phases out, letting the bolt hit Carol. Enraged, the three robot Carls shoot their beams at Flicker, who fades away. Carol's mother comes barging in through the door, desperate to aid her wounded daughter. However, Carol is fine, thanks to Hal, who slowed the arrow before the impact.
Carol is in shock seeing her mother again, who also believed dead long ago. Christine explains that her nervous problems worsened during their trip to Europe, and Carol had to put her away, taken care of by a fund. When Christine finally returned home, he found Carl was already dead, and she received all his money and technology. And so she built robotic doubles of her deceased husband, who taught her how to win the company back. Carol promises to stay with her mother and help her while all the "guests" are free to leave.
Green Lantern takes Oliver and Pieface flying away, but Olivia drives away in a rented car. In the vehicle, Olivia checks on her merchandise, and she realizes that Green Lantern's action figure has been decapitated.
