Synopsis for "Last of the Breed"

Kyle finds himself on an unknown planet, asking for directions in a bar to find his way back to Earth when he meets Adara, a former Green Lantern. After saving Kyle from a bar fight, Dara tells him that she was marooned in space when the battery was destroyed and her ring faded away. She managed to escape from some pirates who kidnapped her, and ended up in that planet. Having both of them experienced loss recently, Kyle feels attracted to her, and they fall asleep while watching the starry sky.

When Kyle wakes up, he realizes Adara stole his ring. He finds her though, and she tells him that the ring didn't work for her, and she almost got herself killed trying to be a hero again, so she gives him the ring back. Kyle retrieves the ring and tries to comfort her, but she asks him to leave her alone. He walks away, but suddenly he hears an electric noise. As he turns around, he sees Adara lying on the ground, holding a smoking blaster in her dead hand.

Kyle flies off, feeling the burden of having another dead in his conscience despite him having "the most powerful weapon in the universe." He continues to wander aimlessly in space, hoping to find his was to Earth, and shortly he is intercepted by a L.E.G.I.O.N. space cruiser.
