Synopsis for "Hard-Traveling Heroes: The Next Generation, Part 3"
Aaron Rayner invites Green Lantern and Green Arrow into a bar where Kyle quickly reveals that he is his son. Arrow leaves the table so that father and son are able to talk privately. Kyle is quite angry, but Aaron seems to be happy to finally meet his son. He explains that 20 years ago he accepted a secret intelligence job which included never being able to return home. It was the toughest decision in his life and he sincerely hopes his son is able to forgive him. Actually, he thinks that Kyle may help him serve this country.
Kyle wants to learn more, thus him and Green Arrow accompany Aaron Rayner to a military base which is hidden inside a mountain. Connor thinks that Aaron Rayner's loose talk sounds a little too patriotic. After introducing the heroes to the attractive woman named Crackshot, Aaron shows them a communication satellite which he intends to bring into orbit to be able to reach out to all American citizens. He asks if Green Lantern could get the satellite into orbit. While Kyle agrees, Green Arrow remains skeptical, but Connor still accompanies his friend into space to bring the satellite into operation.
In space, Green Arrow argues about the intentions of Kyle's father, and of course Green Lantern is offended by that. A small brawl between them is the consequence, but in the end Connor has to back off because without Kyle he is not able to return safely to earth. But when they are back on the ground, Kyle wishes to part ways with Connor.
After returning from space, Kyle reports to his father that the mission was successful. Meanwhile, Green Arrow is already on the way to the hotel. When he enters his room, Crackshot grabs and kisses him. But she also holds a gun behind her back ...
