Synopsis for "Hard Time"

Green Lantern heads to the Slab, where he helps contain the escaped prisoner Sonar. The warden tells Kyle that Sonar used his powers to "transform himself" and free the rest of the inmates, taking five guards hostage. As Kyle checks the situation, he discovers that Sonar, now full of scars and visible metal implants, proclaimed himself the leader. He also finds Sledge, who asks Kyle's help to "squash" Sonar as part of a secret plan. Reluctant, GL agrees to work with him.

Green Lantern moves in and fights the inmates, making his way up to Sonar. As the villain gloats about starting his "empire," Sledge attacks Sonar from behind and punches him through the floor, deep enough to reach for the ocean to start pouring in. The prison starts to flood, and Kyles decides to save the drowning inmates. Back outside, the warden complains about Kyle letting Sledge and Sonar escape.

Meanwhile, as Donna leaves Kyle's apartment, the Green Lantern Power Battery starts to glow, revealing a human figure that materializes out of it: Doctor Light.
