Synopsis for "Retribution, Part 1"

After handling some Ukrainian weapon dealers in the harbor of New York City, Green Lantern watches a kind of shooting star which goes down somewhere over the sea.

Not being tired, Kyle does not fly home but instead visits a dance club. On the dance floor a beautiful, dark-skinned woman hits on him pretty hard. With all the problems he had with Donna in mind, Kyle refuses the obvious offer from the woman. But then she suddenly changes her appearance - she wears a Green Lantern like outfit and furiously attacks Kyle. Kyle flees onto the street to be able to change into his costume without attracting any witnesses. The woman who calls herself Fatality follows Kyle and also tells him that it is her goal to kill all Green Lanterns that are left in the universe. She is the last of her species and obviously holds the Green Lantern Corps responsible for it. Fatality's fighting strategy is based on the assumption that Kyle's ring will run out of power after a certain time limit. But Green Lantern assures her that this restriction does not apply anymore. A little unsure about that statement, Fatality rather decides to back off and flee from the scene.

Kyle believes that John Stewart might be next on Fatality's list of targets. Thus, he flies to John and explains what happened. John does not think that he is in immediate danger. Instead the lady might have her sights set on Green Lanterns power battery ...
