Green Lantern (Volume 4) #19 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 4) with a cover date of June, 2007.
Synopsis for "Mystery of the Star Sapphire (Part II)"
Green Lantern Hal Jordan carries Carol Ferris to safety while fleeing from the Star Sapphire, having taken root in Jillian "Cowgirl" Pearlman. Carol tells him that, while she was possessed, she learned from the gem's memories. There is more than one Star Sapphire, just as there are many green rings and yellow rings.
She relays to him that billions of years ago, the all-female Zamarons separated from the Guardians of the Universe, who wished to cleanse themselves of all emotion. The Zamarons trekked across the universe for billions of years before they encountered the skeletal remains of two embraced lovers in a cave, and found that the violet light had been generated from their dying love. Carol then relates about how she became one of them. She was taken from her plane and found herself in the presence of the Zamarons, who hid their true forms behind human disguises, and chose her to be the "queen of Earth". Carol was possessed by the Star Sapphire, and though Hal was able to defeat it, it always returned possessing someone else, such as Deborah Camille Darnell. However, Star Sapphires also sought to spawn with other beings across the universe. Dela Pharon received a gem and mated with the Green Lantern of Xanador in Sector 1416, who was then killed and his planet suspended in violet crystal.
Hal believes that the Zamarons have gone mad, twisting the meaning of love. Cowgirl then knocks the two into the Honeymoon Hotel. She asks Hal what he loves, but Carol knocks her away with a piece of burning debris. Carol then asks Hal to make her a suit from his ring, having learned to fight from the Star Sapphire while it was controlling her. Hal then puts her in a green variant of her classic Star Sapphire costume and the two attack Cowgirl together. The Star Sapphire manages to knock away Carol, but Hal retaliates and pins it down, trying to remove the Star Sapphire (gem) from Cowgirl's crown.
Suddenly a portal opens and several Zamaron warriors step through, saying "A new corps is rising. So must ours." They demand that the two surrender.

Synopsis for "Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Never Alone Again"
Lyssa Drak continues to tell Amon Sur tales from the Book of Parallax. She tells him of Karu-Sil of Graxos III. Karu-Sil grew up an orphan in a "jungle world of madness". While hunting for food, the young woman came upon a race of dangerous predatory animals. Rather than kill her however, the animals raised Karu-Sil as one of their own. As such, she developed their preternatural instinct and absence of morality. As an adult, Karu-Sil finally encountered another of her own species. She slew him and left his remains for her animal family to consume. The Green Lantern of the Sector, Blish Rrab, came to Graxos III and took Karu-Sil into his custody. He brought her to Graxos IV where she spent many years in an institution. Now she is free of her confines and has accepted membership in the Sinestro Corps.
