Synopsis for "Worthy Foes"

Somewhere in the universe Warworld is approached by the Oblivoron Federation, admiral Pyri gives the order to let theri shields down. He is then teleoprted onto Warworld, where he is invited to enjoy its games until its leader has time to to speak to him. The games consists of two warrior alien races fighting each other for the survival of their people. Pyri is then introduced to Warworlds leader, Lord Mongul, who tells the admiral about Warworld defenses and in his beliefs of how only the strongest should be in leading positions. According to Mongul, a leader should not believe in things like coexistence and love. He continues to tell how he killed his own brother as a child and his parents as an adult. After that Mongul was determined to create an empire including thousands of worlds.

Mongul also makes clear that while he is talking to Pyris, not only his armada, but also his home planet are being destroyed. He then rips the admirals head of and adds it to his collection of peoples heads who he deemed too arrogant. Going back to Warworlds bridge he is informed that they are about to encounter a group of Green Lanterns.
