Synopsis for "Death Is a Door"
The Green Lantern Corps holds a funeral for the recently killed Guardian. Later, Oa is accepted as a member of the United Planets. The Guardians decide to reduce the number of sectors under Oa's jurisdiction, giving 1,200 sectors to the United Planets and moving the Green Lanterns of those sectors to new tasks. Many Green Lanterns are unhappy with this decision. John Stewart is tasked with exploring the Dark Sectors along with a battalion of Green Lanterns. When they leave, the Central Power Battery explodes.
