Synopsis for "Discovery"
The United Planets Lanterns have attacked the Green Lantern resistance's hideout and surrounded Kyle and the Green Lanterns, but when they attempt to capture Kyle, he unleashes an energy blast that completely disintegrates the UP Lanterns' rings and uniforms, all the while saying that something is wrong with the emotional spectrum. Kyle's friends are shocked that Kyle could do something like that but have no time to dwell on what just happened. They need to move before more UP Lanterns locate them.
Meanwhile, Hal and his friends are attacked by Thaaros' security forces just when they thought they could expose Thaaros' corruption to the UP council. Unfortunately, Thaaros had already replaced the council members with Durlans and sent his Ring Hunters against the Green Lantern resistance. Hal and his friends fight valiantly, but as his friends are captured, he is forced to retreat. He attempts to put distance between the Ring Hunters and himself, but he is surrounded by the Unseeing, the group of wizards employed by Thaaros to track his enemies down.
Hal is surrounded and attacked by multiple enemies, but suddenly, a violet light burns across the sky of Oa. It's Carol and she is here to save Hal. She quickly releases Hal from his enemies but is forced to make a quick retreat. They return to Earth and Carol takes the injured Hal back to his trailer.
Thaaros is not pleased when he learns that his UP Lanterns failed to capture Hal, so he forces his Lanterns to fight amongst themselves to see who can earn his favor. The UP Lanterns in the council chambers switch to the red light of rage and start killing each other, until one Lantern remains, while Thaaros deduces that Hal must have gained a ring different from his fellow Green Lanterns. To figure out how he obtained it, Thaaros contacts Amanda Waller, who receives his call from her office at Gamorra. Waller and Thaaros have been aware of each other's activities for a while and Thaaros requests that Waller locate Hal for him, lest he starts to believe Sector 2814 is a problem that needs to be solved.
Hal rests for a while until he awakens to find Carol next to him. She sees this as a good opportunity to talk to Hal and admits that she was very close to marrying her fiance, until she came to realize that her bond with Hal just couldn't be broken. No matter how much either of them change, they always end up finding each other again. She has made her choice and wants to be with Hal, even if that means facing whatever challenge that comes his way. Unfortunately, their conversation is cut short, as Task Force VII has begun its attack on Hal's home.

Synopsis for "Guy Gardner: Guy's Bogus Lobo Adventure, Part Three: Places to Be"
Guy is having the worst time of his life. He has been captured in a city full of Czarnians and forced to work as a mailman. Just as he delivers a package to a house, he encounters the fake Lobo he tried to capture. Identifying himself simply as "the Main Man", he learned about a device that could shut down the chips Brainiac has implanted in their bodies so they can grow back to their original sizes when Brainiac opens up the bottled city.
Guy thinks that, once he regains his original size, he can contact the United Planets for assistance, but the Main Man reveals that the United Planets have been aware of Brainiac's activities this whole time, as it was the only way he could have entered Sector 2814 without any resistance. Disgusted at the UP's betrayal, Guy agrees to help the Main Man enter Brainiac's vault.
After incapacitating the guard and entering the vault, Guy and the Main Man start looking for the extraction device. The Main Man finds the device while Guy finds the Eye of Krona, which he decides to keep in case he needs it later. Brainiac's computer announces that Brainiac has attacked another planet and he needs a Czarnian squad to complete his mission, so the Main Man uses the device on Guy and himself to remove their chips. This way, Brainiac's machines will recognize them as soldiers and release them into the battlefield. The plan works, and the two unlikely allies are released from the city, but the teleportation beam has left them in the middle of a sky and about to hit the ground.
