Synopsis for "Dogfight"
Hal rides on Wally's bike for a special mission, a journey to one of Batman's islands. This island houses a hangar for some of Bruce's unused vehicles, including the Batwolf, a prototype jet that Bruce was unable to get working. Hal wants to pilot this new aircraft for his mission to attack the Hall of Order, an appealing proposition for Hal, especially since Batman doesn't know what he wants to do. Oracle has caught wind of this and attempts to deactivate the jet, but Hal has already disconnected the kill switch and takes off, with Wally close behind.
Meanwhile, Dove attempts to help a victim of a car crash in Coast City, only to be surrounded by angry people who are still buying to Waller's anti-superhero propaganda. Luckily, Carol has arrived to help and creates a force field to protect Dove from the angry mob. She wants to take Dove to the Tower of Fate so they can mount a resistance against Waller's forces, but Dove is suddenly, Dove is consumed by guilt and sadness, to the point she begs Carol to kill her. A gray fog surrounds them and Nathan, wearing a ring of sorrow, appears before Carol.
On Washington D.C., Hal quickly approaches the Hall of Order and checks out the Batwolf's weapons. Most of those weapons are defensive and the Batwolf has no bullets or bombs, so Hal is forced to improvise. He uses the Batwolf's reserve Batmobile as a battering ram that utterly breaks the Hall's entrance. Wally uses this distraction to enter the Hall and connect one of Mr. Terrific's T-Spheres to one of the Hall's computers and download its files. Major Force, brainwashed into serving the Bureau of Sovereignty, enters the fight but Hal distracts him so that Wally can continue his mission.
In Gamorra, Jadestone continues his conversations with Alan Scott to come to terms with his newfound sentience. Alan tells him that Jadestone has the choice to be more than just a weapon of destruction. Should Jadestone continue going down the path to destruction, then he will only be destroyed because destruction only causes destruction, but goodness is different. It's the one investment that never fails. Jadestone is called upon to defend the Hall of Order from hostiles but Alan tells him to make a choice.
The fight between Carol and Nate continues. Nate attempts to corrupt Carol with his sadness and asks her why did she choose Hal over him and Carol finally realizes that, for all of his flaws, Hal is the man she loves. She disperses Nate's fog with violet light and remembers that Hal said that something is wrong with the emotional spectrum and Nate might be suffering from it. Nate falls back but promises to return. Carol has no time to follow him, as she has to help Dove regroup with the others.
Hal leads Force away from the Hall of Order and into the Cave of the Green Lanterns, located deep beneath Spain. Force causes severe damage to the Batwolf but Hal is unexpectedly saved by Jadestone, who has chosen life over destruction. As Jadestone incapacitates Major Force, Hal attempts to get close to the Power Battery but the Batwolf has reached its limit. Hal ejects from the Batwolf and attempts to recharge his ring but nothing happens. Suddenly, Jadestone grabs him before Hal hits the ground and takes him to the cavern. He informs Hal that the Starheart's energy and his conversations with Alan have changed him. Now, he will become the protector of this battery, as Tom Kalmaku was before him.
Hal recharges his ring and is reunited with Carol, who shares a kiss with him and understands the burden Hal has carried over the years. Being a hero is sacrifice, but she is now willing to make it. As Jadestone remains behind to protect the battery, Hal and Carol take into the sky together.

Synopsis for "Green Lantern: War Journal Epilogue: The Family Business"
After their adventure, John and Ellie have been called to Metropolis to help Steelworks in a construction work. Despite his recent experiences, or perhaps because of them, John feels closer to his family than ever. Natasha informs her uncle that hostile drones have attacked one of their trains and John rushes to protect Ellie, with the Steels following closely behind. These robots are owned by Charles Walker, an industrialist who has previously antagonized Steelworks. Ellie quickly obliterates some of the drones and Stewart admits to Irons that, even though his family can now fight alongside him, he still is worried about them. Irons tells Stewart that perhaps it's best to to think too much about what has happened and instead they should focus on the future.
