Synopsis for "Civil Corps Part II: Power Transfer"

The Durlan fleet approaches Oa and their leader Varron grows impatient. He wants the Durlans' research on the Source Lantern to further increase his power, but the Durlans don't trust Varron, as they see him as an even worse tyrant than his uncle Thaaros. They will contact the Unseeing and tell them to destroy their enemies.

At their secret chamber in Oa, the Unseeing keep themselves busy by torturing Jessica Cruz and attempting to force to reveal the location of the Green Lantern resistance. Jessica, however, refuses to yield, even as the Unseeing peer into her thoughts. The Unseeing are summoned by the Durlans for their next assignment and leave Kilowog, still controlled by the yellow light of fear, in charge of Jessica's interrogation.

The resistance has taken refuge at the crypt of Oa. Guy has supplied his friends with new rings from the Power Battery on Earth and informed them that Hal and John are searching for reinforcements. Their initial plan was to wait for those reinforcements, but Ellie, a construct based on John's dead sister, appears before them and tells them to move out, for Keli Quintela and all of Oa need them now.

Varron has descended into the Oan sciencells, where United Planets scientists continue constructing and refining a new ring for Thaaros. With Thaaros seemingly dead, Varron claims the ring as his own but the Unseeing attack Varron for his apparent betrayal, just in time for the resistence to enter the battle. During the struggle, Alan vaporizes the Unseeing while Varron claims the new ring and is consumed by white light. The Green Lanterns have no time to worry about that, though, for their first concern is rescuing Keli. Suddenly, they get a message from Hal, who warns them to evacuate Oa immediately. Mogo, still under Thaaros' control, is gaining on them and will arrive at Oa soon.

In their rush to meet up with their friends, Hal and John quickly evade the Durlan fleet just before it's obliterated by Mogo. Hal and John barely arrive at Oa when a red light shines in the distance. The Green Lanterns believe Mogo has arrived, but it's actually Sinestro, who furiously plunges into Mogo's surface and absorbs the red energy that had corrupted it. Mogo has been purified and left unconscious, but Sinestro has been weakened by this effort and Hal captures him. The Green Lanterns believe the battle to be over, but Varron, in possession of the ring created by the U.P. scientists, enter the Source Lantern, intending to control its power. Kyle decides he must save the emotional spectrum from Varron, so he transforms into the White Lantern again and enters the Source Lantern, as well, much to the protests of Hal and John.

Unfortunately, the Green Lanterns have no time to worry about Kyle, because Thaaros has arrived at Oa to finish his revenge.
