Synopsis for "The Will to Rage"

Hal is forced to fight Sinestro, who has been consumed by the red light of rage. Their battle releases so much energy that it's detected by radar systems and satellites all over the world. Even the Superman Family can't assist Hal, for the emotional energy emits radiation similar to that of Kryptonite.

Hal is shocked that Sinestro's personality has changed so drastically by his stay on Earth. Normally, Sinestro would attack with cold strategy and calculated precision, but now, he's engaging in reckless abandon. He desperately tries to reason with Sinestro, but to no avail. Sinestro furiously proclaims that Hal is seeing the real Sinestro; not the slave to the Great Darkness or the broken parody of a man that was stuck on Earth after the battle on Korugar. This rage has burning inside Sinestro for a very long time and Hal will be the first of its victims.

The fight is briefly interrupted when a squadron of fighter jets attempts to intervene. Sinestro destroys their machines with a large monster construct, but Hal flies across the red construct and barely manages to save the pilots. Once the pilots are safe on the ground, Hal decides to stop playing with Sinestro and pushes his ring to its limits. His construct takes the form of a large robot armed with a sword and the fight begins once again.

The battle between the two titanic constructs wreaks havoc across the coastline and Hal desperately attempts to warn Sinestro that they are destabilizing the emotional spectrum but Sinestro refuses to listen. The constructs collapse into a huge white explosion, which Hal barely contains. Frustrated, Sinestro decides to leave the Earth and Hal attempts to pursue but his ring loses power before he can reach escape velocity. Sinestro is gone and Hal can't follow him.

Dejected, Hal returns to his trailer, where Kilowog greets him with a soft drink. Hal's quite night is interrupted by a visit from an old friend. It's Razer and he came to Earth because he wants to know what's happening in Hal's life. Hal reveals that Kilowog isn't really with them. The Kilowog that stands in front of them is a construct generated by Hal's ring. The real Kilowog died and Hal blames himself for it.

Synopsis for "Wayward Son: Part Three"

A band of criminals have stolen donor organs from a medical facility and is about to make its getaway until it's attacked by Korg, who returns the stolen organs and takes the criminals' credits. He then makes his way to a junkyard, where he collects enough materials to construct a spaceship that would let him escape from Xela and, hopefully, meet Sinestro, the man Korg believes to be his father.

As soon as the ship lifts off, however, Nagaf intercepts Korg. He was already aware that Korg was trying to escape, so he fires a missile and hits the spaceship, which falls into the ground and Korg is left severely injured.
