History
In 1941 an alien planet entered the Solar System, and sledlike vehicles from it invaded Earth. Four U.S. cities were attacked with a deadly gas, and three of them were completely wiped out. The Green Men were stealing life, in tubes, from the massacred populations, consuming it, and prolonging their own lives. Their weapons were effective against even the Spectre, at least initially, but ultimately the Man of Darkness overcame their paralyzing rays and their telekinetic powers, destroyed most or all of their space fleet, invaded their planet, and encrypted all of them in a ball of X-Lite, which he then sent spinning into space.
