Dr. Gruesome was a mad scientist and enemy of the Inferior Five.
History
After nearly 20 years of peace, thanks to the Freedom Brigade eradicating crime in Megalopolis with the defeat of villain Dr. Evil, Dr. Gruesome took up base in the city scrapyard. A tinkerer and inventor, he built a number of dangerous weapons, including a crime car and a death ray, which he planned to use for world domination. However, his plans were overheard by a police informant. The Freedom Brigade was summoned, but as they were retired, their children were sent to stop Dr. Gruesome instead.
After building a robot to steal the Shinobi Ruby, a jewel needed to complete his death ray, he discovered the new team via cameras he planted around the city. They defeated his robot and Dr. Gruesome confronted them himself in his crime car, but the Five disabled him when Blimp smoked Dr. Gruesome out with one of White Feather's smoke arrows. Using his ejection seat, Dr. Gruesome retreated to his scrapyard base. His henchman, Hermes, managed to steal the Shinobi Ruby in the confusion and Dr. Gruesome completed his death ray.
The Inferior Five tracked him to his base and, while Hermes easily defeated Merryman, Dr. Gruesome's ray backfired while trying to shoot Dumb Bunny. He surrendered and was arrested.[1] During a failed escape attempt, he broke his right leg and cracked three ribs.[2]
In another plan, he created a replicating serum that he poured in Megalopolis's junkyard, creating a flood of trash to cover the city. The Inferior Five climbed the mountain of trash to find him at the top, where he threatened to drop an atomic weapon on the UN if the Inferior Five did not obey him. However, they managed to steal the weapon while he was asleep, but he gave chase. Awkwardman dropped the weapon, but it turned out to be a dud. Dr. Gruesome managed to evade arrest.[3]
