The night after Christmas, Guy's friends make fun of him for making out and spending the night with Fire. On top of that, Guy's mother moves in after her house got destroyed.[1]

Later, Gorilla Grodd steals a canister containing a mind-altering drug from Buck's lab. Guy's crew tracks the canister to the Empire State, where they face Grodd's Cyber-Apes, and Guy confronts Grodd himself. During the fight, Grodd breaches Gardner's mind, but Veronna, through a psychic link she has with Gardner, helps Warrior break free from Grodd's grasp. Gardner defeats Grodd, but the gorilla manages to escape with their cargo after Drogg sets them a trap.
