Guy Gardner was a member of the Green Lantern Corps before its fall. Stranded on an alien world, he was confused for a godly messenger, and lead the inhabitants as Prophet Guy.

History

Guy was once an important member of the Green Lantern Corps, as well as the Justice League.

When the Green Lantern Corps fell, Guy was on a mission to a primitive planet called Rerlin, where the inhabitants were fighting over what they believed to be a relic from their god--actually just a piece of space junk. He attempted to stop the fighting, speaking to the aliens via his ring's translator, but his ring lost power when the Central Power Battery of Oa was destroyed. Guy was stranded, forced to work with the local alien leaders and learn their language from scratch. Thankfully for him, the aliens worshiped him, believing him to be a prophet sent by their god. Guy used his influence to calm the tensions between the two Rerlin tribes, and establish a new incarnation of Warriors Bar.
