Synopsis for "Guys And Draals"

Guy Gardner and the Green Lanterns fight the Draal and Guy's clone wearing his Korugarian ring. Guy recognizes the Korugarian alert that the ring is running out of power, so he jumps on to fight hand-to-hand with his double. However, Guy gets so distracted beating himself long enough for the Draal to incapacitate and take him to the mind-probe again.

Guy's mind goes back to the night his brother Mace got shot and critically wounded. His father learns that Mace wasn't as clean as he thought because he was involved with a drug ring. Mace wakes up from the coma, but being confined to a wheelchair, he has no will to live, so he throws himself into the river. Mace's suicide drags his father into alcoholism, and Guy moves away from his family.

Guy's mind flashes forward and goes through his graduation in psychology and education, his time as a prison counselor and physical education teacher, the day John took his place as backup Green Lantern, and the events that lead to his coma and reawakening. The mind probe catches up to the present day, and Guy wakes up alone in the lab. He learns that the Draal found a way to charge Guy's ring, and his double overpowers the Green Lanterns. The Lanterns defeat the Draal, but Guy's clone escapes from the ship toward Earth, leaving an evil Guy on the loose. Guy asks the Lanterns to leave him on Earth to attend to two problems: stopping his evil twin and visiting his family in Baltimore.
