Hades is the Olympian god of the dead and the king of the Greek underworld, with which his name became synonymous.
History
On her journey through the Underworld in search of her fellow Amazon Potira, Wonder Woman (Yara Flor) arrived before the presence of Hades, the King of the Underworld himself. At first he didn't want to hear her bold demand to free Potira's soul, but thanks to the intervention of his wife, Persephone, Yara had a chance to rescue the Amazon soldier.[1]
However, even though Yara managed to find Potira's soul, Hades sent hellish spiders to try to prevent them from leaving the Underworld.[1]
