General Haifisch was a Nazi officer and super soldier under the name Killer Shark. He was an enemy of the Blackhawks.
History
Haifisch was a general in the German Army during World War II. Apparently Haifisch was subjected to biological experimentation by Nazi scientists, for he possessed superhuman strength. General Haifisch underwent special training supervised by Adolf Hitler himself, and has been called the "model soldier" of the Third Reich. Trained as a "killing machine," Haifisch was code-named "Killer Shark."[1]
While carrying out Hitler's assignment to capture a town on the French-Belgian border that had so far resisted takeover, Killer Shark and his men captured the Blackhawks except for Blackhawk himself. The absent leader caught up with Killer Shark's submarine in which the Blackhawks were being transported, and fought Killer Shark atop the submarine after it surfaced. Haifisch was knocked into the water, where he apparently drowned.

Notes
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
- General Haifisch is the second version of an Earth-One Killer Shark.
- The first Earth-One version was modeled on the original Killer Shark, with the curved and sharpened teeth, but with a different back-story. That version of Killer Shark did not encounter the Blackhawks until 1952.
- The Pirate Killer Shark of a different universe, also with curved and sharpened teeth, clashed with Blackhawk, and Blackie, during World War II.
- This Nazi Military Killer Shark, with normal teeth and a beard, clashed with Blackhawk, during World War II. That is, this version of this villain was introduced after the first, but faced the Blackhawks earlier chronologically. He was introduced as part of Mark Evanier's "soft reboot."
- Blackhawk is confusing.
Trivia
- In the Batman: Blackhawk Down story arc, Haifisch is erroneously given credit for turning Lady Blackhawk into Queen Killer Shark. That was the first Killer Shark, whose grandson had already returned to do the same in Birds of Prey #114. Haifish was introduced during a run in which Zinda Blake did not appear. Following her involvement in Zero Hour, some events may have changed.
