- Nighthawk was created by Joe Millard and Charles Paris, first appearing in Western Comics #5. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Nighthawk first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in All-Star Western (Volume 3) #6 by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Moritat.
