Synopsis for "Hunted by the Bat, Part One"

On the roof of her Coney Island headquarters, Harley reflects on her morality and her mother's mortality, when sparks fly and Mirand'r apports infront of her. Harley has been chosen by the Lords of Order and Chaos to be the Galactic Angel of Retribution — a demigod with a flaming sword — if only she can pass six tests. Moriand'r — the Herald of Angels — looks regal giving her a symbolic 6-starred belt, until she trips over her roller skates.

Harley is now the Seeker of the Lords, and she entertains her hospitalized mom with the story, until administration kicks her out.

In Gotham, Commissioner Gordon finds underworld chemicals dealer Dr. Regelmann dead from the Joker's Smylex gas. Batman finds evidence that the murder is a frame-up, and actually committed by Harley Quinn.

Back at Coney Island, Batman confronts Harley and they trade blows and insults, until even Batman's lack of faith in her her shatters Harley's fragile self-esteem. She professes her innocence and demands that Batman investigate. But investigate what? Back in the Gotham morgue, the whole nature of the crime is changing - "Dr. Regelmann" D.O.A. sits up on his slab, and gloats. Batman and Harley Quinn have fallen into his trap...
