Harpies are ugly creatures with the body of a vulture and the face of a woman.
History
When they fly, the beating of their wings releases an unbearable stench.[1]
A band of these bird-women, led by the so-called "The Harpy", have contended against Black Canary.[2]
Harpies tend to avoid cities. A Norse variant species, however, attacked London when Krampus freed them from another dimension. Wonder Woman managed to communicate with an elder among the group through the Lasso of Truth, convincing her to call off the attack and rally the other harpies.[3]
