Harrison Wells is an identity that has been used by several people in the Arrowverse. The original Wells was a brilliant scientist who developed a particle accelerator that gave the Flash his super-speed. The time-traveling Eobard Thawne, also known as the Flash's nemesis Reverse-Flash, killed the original Wells and replaced him, controlling the S.T.A.R. Labs and leading his main goals. Using this identity, he acted as a mentor to Barry Allen so he could manipulate him. After Thawne was exposed and "defeated", Allen began working with the Earth-2 version of the real Wells who they nicknamed "Harry" to distinguish him. They also began working with the Earth-19 version of Wells, nicknamed "H.R.". Harrison Wells was created by Greg Berlanti, first appearing on The Flash in the "Pilot" episode. (2014)
